Biography
Coach Eric Scallan is driven by a profound mission to help both adults and children develop discipline, self-esteem, and the courage to face life’s challenges head-on. There’s a profound sense of fulfillment he finds in witnessing transformation—whether it’s an individual reshaping their life or a child finding their confidence.
Eric is not only a devoted husband and father to his two children, Ty and Elle Scallan, but he’s also a staunch supporter of the Louisiana Oil Field. His academic journey led him to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he received his B.S. in Psychology. This educational background reinforces his firm belief in the importance of mental resilience.
With over 20 professional fights under his belt, Eric is a professional Mixed Martial Artist. His dedication to the sport and to helping others overcome adversity is unparalleled. He is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, having trained under the watchful eyes of “Crazy” Tim Credeur and Josh Artigue since 2007.
Eric’s impressive track record includes being a three-time Bellator MMA veteran and a Season 1 cast member of Spike TV’s Bellator: Fightmaster. He clinched the title of Welterweight Champion of Atlas Fights in 2011 and was the 2008 ISCF World Classic Amateur MMA Champion. As a college wrestler, Eric was a part of the Wartburg College 2005 NCAA Div. 3 National Championship team, and he proudly clinched the runner-up spot in the LHSAA wrestling state in 2004. Through his vast expertise and passion, Eric is dedicated to guiding all those ready to embark on their journey of self-improvement.
