Muay Thai
How do I advance to the next level?
While each student is unique and will progress at their own pace, it is possible to advance as quickly as 6 months with consistent training and perseverance.
As with any sport, the physical changes and improvements will start to take shape after a few weeks of consistent training, but the mental benefits begin immediately. By the end of your first workout, chances are good you'll feel like a rock star! Reduced stress, glowing skin, and popping muscles are just the tip of the iceberg. Get ready to crush some serious goals, both inside and out of the studio, because that rock star feeling just gets stronger every time.
What is Muay Thai?
Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is a stand-up combat sport and is recognized as the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand. It's on track to become an Olympic sport and has gained popularity all over the world.
Sometimes referred to as The Art of Eight Limbs,' Muay Thai involves the entire body, identifying each strike (punch, kick, knee or elbow) as one 'weapon.' In addition to striking, it also utilizes sweeps and the clinch, a form of stand-up neck grappling.
What are the benefits of Muay Thai?
The conditioning that you go through to become faster, stronger, more efficient, and more powerful has similar effects on your body, mind, and spirit. As you train, you will notice greater self-confidence, a stronger sense of discipline and a mental fortitude that reveals itself in other areas of your life. When students practice Muay Thai, they cultivate strong values, and every time they show up, they have the ability to be humbled and inspired, to test their determination and courage, and to build others up with us. When you combine these mental gains with a noticeably fit and healthier body and an empowered spirit, there's no reason NOT to train Muay Thai!
